Hua Dong returned to TongjiUniversity as a Professor at the College of Design and Innovation following12-year research and teaching in the United Kingdom (University of Cambridge, RoyalCollege of Art, and Brunel University, London).

She has extensiveexperiences of cross-cultural and interdisciplinary design research. She haspublished over 100 papers, and has been a Principal Investigator for a numberof research projects in the UK and China. Hua is directly involved in theteaching of design at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Hua founded the InclusiveDesign Research Group at Brunel University and Tongji University. She is theinternational coordinator of the Inclusive Design Research Interest Group(InclusiveSIG), and serves as a council member of the Design Research Society(DRS).
