尼克·福斯特（Nick Foster）美国X实验室（前google X实验室）设计总监，更是一名创意领袖和未来主义者。他在职业生涯中，为戴森（Dyson），索尼（Sony），诺基亚（Nokia）和谷歌（Google）等制造商提供技术和设计服务，帮助他们为新兴需求和用户塑造新产品。Nick目前是X（以前称为GoogleX）的设计负责人，他领导着一支由多学科组成的研究人员和设计师团队，负责开发范围广泛，对世界产生影响的项目。他还是微型跨国组织Near Future Laboratory的合伙人，该组织致力于开发DesignFiction领域的项目和研究。尼克（Nick）是全球公认的设计领导者和学者，通过其创造的文化来，致力于推动设计及其与技术的关系的影响。他于2001年获得皇家艺术学院的硕士学位，并于2018年成为皇家艺术学会的会员。Nick Foster is a designer, creative leader and futurist based in Oakland, California. He has made his careerworking at the overlap of technology and design for manufacturers such as Dyson, Sony, Nokia and Google, helping to shape new products for emerging needs and users. Nick is currently the where he leads a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and designers developing long range, world-changing projects. He is also a partner at the Near Future Laboratory, a micro-multinational organization dedicated to developing projects and research in the field of Design Fiction. Nick is a globally recognized design leader and academic, and works to continually push the influence of design and its relationship to technology through vividly portraying the cultures it creates. In 2001 he received his Masters from the Royal College of Art and in 2018 he became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

In this session, Nick will explore the driving forces behind this relationship, the pit falls of Design driven futures, and introduce Design Fiction - a powerful technique in rendering grounded, relatable and actionable visions of the future.
