On October 14th, the delegation of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress visited Aalto University, Finland. Prof. Petri Suomala, Vice President of Aalto University attended and addressed the colloquium. NI Minqing, Associate Professor at College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University participated and reported on the cooperation between Tongji and Aalto. Two D&I students in double-degree programme attended the colloquium.

After the meeting, Ni and 13 students of D&I studying at Aalto University in 2024 held a workshop to discuss about their academic progress, research projects, and life in Finland. The discussion also resulted in a number of suggestions on how to improve the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education and promote the high-quality development of the college's internationalization.

By 2025, the Tongji-Alto Double-Degree Program will be celebrating its 8th birthday. We expect that in the new starting point, the program will be able to give full play to the advantages of alumni resources to create an international student management brand with security, characteristics, warmth and development and promote the internationalization development of the college.
