On March 31, 2017 a group, led by Mr. ZHANG Jianguo, Vice Minister of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China and Director-general of State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, visited D&I.
 
In September 2015 D&I was officially included in the “Network in International Centers for Education in China” and became one of the “pilot units”. Currently, D&I is the only Design education institute in this network.
 
The introduction of foreign experts in management and renovating the college management mechanism has resulted in the higher ranking of D&I. In addition, the introduction of top scholars in design research who are not only important figures but also founders of design theories, academic level and talents development of D&I have been promoted. Though introduction of high-end foreign experts, D&I is increasingly renowned at home and abroad. As a result, a healthy ecosystem was developed and more talents are attracted.
