Students Works | Digital Media Image Design Workshop Co-organized by Tongji University, Shih Chien University, and Shanghai Theatre Academy Held
From May. 21 to 23, the digital media image design workshop, co-organized by Tongji University, Shih Chien University, and Shanghai Theatre Academy, was held in College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University (D&I).
In the workshop, students from the three universities sought inspiration from the Chinese character “Tou(透)” (transparency), and were required to make original designs such as image design, animation design, and interactive media design. At the end of the workshop, students made representations via images, videos, posters, and other means on their final work.
The following is the representative work recommended by the editor named Transparency. It’s made by Liu Xinran, Chen Qinyu, Wu Di and Ye Zehui.
Work introduction: Transparency is a word full of possibilities. It makes people feel bright and cheerful from inside to outside, with lovely sense of mystery in the same time. Does the little girl wandering freely in the transparent water know the world well?
By using the looping narrative story mode and the combined expression of 2D and 3D, this video attempts to make the audiences feel tiny in the infinite universe and time through the eye of a little girl.
