On the evening of December 30, 2015, the “2016 New Year’s Evening Party” was held in D&I. The wonderful evening witnessed the joyful gathering of the faculty and students of the college. WU Zhiqiang, Vice President of Tongji University, LOU Yongqi, Dean of D&I, FAN Shengxi, Party Committee Secretary, and Vice Party Committee Secretary MA Linhai also attended the evening party.

WU Zhiqiang, who also is the former and first dean of D&I, and LOU Yongqi, both delivered speeches, reviewing the history of D&I's development and the major achievements attained last year.

Beginning with a piece of piano solo, the party then presented an array of wonderful programmes, including self-made jewelry show, choir and playlet, etc. The song “Stars”with piano accompaniment staged  by two faculty members FAN Shengxi and ZHANG Yinan brought the atmosphere to its climax. The evening party ended with vibrant street dance performance.
