Double Degree Students

1.Nomination Deadline

The nomination deadline for the Fall Semester is May.15.

The nomination deadline for the Spring Semester is Nov.15.

 It is suggested that the nomination starts in early March for fall semester and September for spring semester, to leave enough time for the process.

2.Application Steps

Step 1 The following documents are sent to YAN Siyi yansy3@tongji.edu.cn via coordinator of the home university:

-Copy of Passport

-Curriculum Vitae 

-Motivation Letter

-Copy of transcript, officially issued by home university

-Portfolio

-Two Recommendation Letters 

-Choices of supervisor (based on the list provided by D&I)

-Research Proposal (based on the template provided by D&I)

Step 2 Supervisor confirmation after documents review and necessary interview

Step 3 Online application

The nominated students are required to fill out an online application at: 

http://study-info.tongji.edu.cn/

Please read carefully the Registration Guide before you register an application account.

The online system is usually open from early March to May and from early September to December before the application deadline.  

The students will be asked to generate their own accounts that are protected by a username and password. It is very important to complete the application carefully becausethe information from the database will be used for communicating with the students in the future and for issuing student Admission Notice, degree certificate or other documents.

Step 4 Send the application form signed by the home university via the coordinator of the home university to yansy3@tongji.edu.cn

3.Admission

If accepted, the original Admission Notice will be sent to the coordinator of the home university.

4.Semester Duration

The Spring Semester usually starts from March to July;

The Fall Semester usually starts from September to January.

Please note that the confirmed academic calendar is usually published only one month before the start of the coming semester.

5.Language 

Students are required to have a good command of English since the courses are taught in English.

There will be elementary Chinese courses for international students.

6.Accommodation

For on campus accommodation application, please call 0086-21-65983001.

On campus accommodation is very limited, and if it’s full, the students are suggested to find accommodation close to campus. Here are some references:
