From December 28th to 29th, Langfang, Hebei Province, played host to the Seventh Member Congress of the China Creative Studies Institute and the 2024 Academic Annual Meeting themed "High-Quality Collaborative Innovation Community for Efficient Empowerment of New Productivity." The events were co-organized by the China Creative Studies Institute and the Hebei Creative Innovation Studies Institute, with assistance from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Big Data Innovation Application Center, Langfang Association for Science and Technology, and other partners. During the congress, Professor Lou Yongqi and Professor Zhang Yalei from Tongji University were elected Chairman and Secretary-General of the Seventh Council of the China Creative Studies Institute, respectively.
Among the attendees were Wang Jinzhan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST); Liu Guowei, Deputy General Manager of China Science and Technology Press; Wang Hailong, Party Secretary and Executive Vice Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Association for Science and Technology; Li Guoyong, Secretary of the Langfang Municipal Party Committee; Liu Yuan, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Langfang; Zhao Jingbo, Deputy Mayor of Langfang; Huang Yunran, Party Secretary of the Langfang Municipal Association for Science and Technology; and other notable figures. The opening ceremony was presided over by Tang Dianqiang, Vice Chairman of the China Creative Studies Institute and President of the Hebei Creative Innovation Studies Institute.

Keynote speeches were presented by Zhao Xinli, an academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, senior consultant at the China Institute for Science and Technology Policy at Tsinghua University, and former science and technology counselor of the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations; Lou Yongqi, vice president of Tongji University and academician of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA); Li Jie, foreign academician of the Engineering Academy of Japan and professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University; and Jiang Changjun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and former vice president of Tongji University.

The China Creative Studies Institute is a national, nonprofit, and academic social organization voluntarily formed by units and individuals dedicated to creativity research, promotion, and application in China. It was officially established in Shanghai in June 1994, with approval from CAST, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The Institute’s secretariat is located at Tongji University. Professors Wan Gang, Pei Gang, and Xu Jianping from Tongji University have served as chairmen of the Institute in succession. The Institute’s "Creativity Achievement Award," approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, is recognized as the highest award in the field of creativity studies.
