The National University Environmental Design Teaching Seminar was held in the College of Design and Innovation. Teachers and students from more than 10 design colleges across the country shared and discussed their teaching cases and experiences and how these may be applied tofuture directions of environmental design.

Prof. FANG Xiaofeng, Deputy Dean of Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University, and the editor of the journal of ZHUANGSHI, and Prof. LOU Yongqi, Dean of the College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University, gave an opening speech tothe forum. Other inspiring speeches were given by teachers from six institutions including Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University, China Academy of Art, the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Jiangnan University, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University.

The seminar concluded with the Launching Ceremony of Uniqlo Store Design Competition (2018). The Uniqlo Store Design Competition is a cross-border collaboration between universities and companies in the field of teaching and innovation. Students from various universities discussed ways of creating new experiences in future stores. They condiderednew ideas, new concepts, new technologies and new materials.
