Brief Introduction

Dr. GUO Yi specializes in architectural and urban design theory, particularly urban density and congestion theory, with profound academic expertise in high-density urban design. Her doctoral dissertation "Disclosing the Congestion Paradigm: A Critical Study of Urban Density in Shenzhen and Hong Kong" received the Excellent with Honours award from Italy, innovatively proposing the "Productive Chaos" theoretical framework that challenges traditional Western urban planning paradigms. Her research, based on Benjamin's concept of "Shock" and Koolhaas's "Culture of Congestion" theory, provides new theoretical perspectives, research tools " The 10 Modes of Congestion " and methodologies " Three Phases and Conceptual Research Grid of Congestions" for rapidly developing Asian urban planning. She has published multiple high-quality academic papers in important international and domestic journals and possesses rich cross-cultural academic exchange experience and practical capabilities.
