Brief Introduction:

Dr. Cao Shixiong obtained his Bachelor's degree of Arts in Advertising from the Communication University of Shanxi before pursuing higher education in South Korea. He earned his Master's degree and Ph.D. in Design from Sangmyung University and Sungkyunkwan University. His doctoral research concentrated on enhancing data journalism narrative visualization through user experience. He emphasized that implementing effective narrative visualization techniques can significantly boost user engagement with data journalism. Throughout his research, Dr. Cao examined the influence of perceptual, interactive, cognitive, and emotional experiences on user attitudes using empirical studies. Based on this, he proposed an extensive set of design principles and practical guidelines for narrative visualization. While studying in South Korea, Dr. Cao also served as a teaching assistant at the Academic Information Library Office of Sangmyung University, where he organized a multitude of activities related to academics. Moreover, as a reviewer for the "IEEE Pacific Visualization Symposium" and "ChinaVis," Dr. Cao offered review suggestions for numerous articles.
