4. Education Background:

1. He once studied and engaged in research and teaching at Guangxi Normal University (earned a master degree from 1999 to 2002), Soochow University (earned a doctoral degree from 2002 to 2005), Xiying College of Film, Television and Media of Xi'an Foreign Languages University (worked as a teacher from 2003 to 2005), Northwest University (engaged in research cooperation and scriptwriting from 2004 to 2005), and Fudan University (earned a postdoctoral degree from 2006 to 2008).

 

5. Work Experience:

2. He began to work in 1988. He was employed by Shanghai University in 2005 and was selected as a master supervisor in the same year.

3. He once worked as assistant to the dean of the Department of Film and Television Arts for two years, responsible for managing daily work, and then transferred to the Department of Animation, where he worked as assistant to the dean.

4. In 2007, he was given the title of associate professor; in 2008, he was selected as a deputy-director-general-level reserve cadre of Shanghai University by the college.

5. He once served as a member of the Party Committee of the College of Digital Arts of Shanghai University, secretary of the Faculty Party Branch, and president of the College of Digital Arts Branch of Shanghai University Young Teachers Fellowship;

6. In August 2010, he was transferred to Tongji University, where he served as the director of the Film Research Institute of Tongji University.

7. He was appointed as a member of Tongji University’s Academic Degree Evaluation Committee for the Subject of Design and Art in 2011.

8. In November 2012, he took a temporary post, i.e. deputy director of the Culture Bureau of Yangpu District, Shanghai.

The Film titled The Pioneer (co-produced by Shanghai Film (Group) Co., Ltd., Film and Television Center of the Cultural Troupe of All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and Shanghai Xunmeng Film Co., Ltd.; directed by Huang Deji and Nie Chunshen; starring: Zhang Yaxi and Yu Bo. The film was selected by the National Radio and Television Administration as one of the 15th key tribute films for celebrating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in 2011. It won the Outstanding Single Literary and Artistic Creation Achievement Award in Shanghai in 2012.)

8. Honors and Awards

1. He ranked among top ten (tied for the third place) in the Department of Liberal Arts of Shanghai University in 2005 and 2006 in terms of the number of papers published in core journals. He won the core paper publishing award of the Department of Liberal Arts for three years in a row.

2. He was selected as a candidate for the 2007-2008 Shanghai University’s “Persons Moving Shanghai University”; he was introduced on the university’s website under the title of “diligent, wise, fruitful, steadfast, dedicated staff”; he ranked fifth out of 48 candidates in terms of online votes.

3. On July 1, 2009, he was given the honorary title of “an outstanding CPC member of Shanghai University in 2008-2009”.

4. In June 2012, his monograph titled “Animation Master Miyazaki Hayao” won the first prize in the seventh “Academy Award” of Chinese Collegial Association for Visual Art.

5. The film Lifetime Promise in which he served as a screenplay adapter was recommended as “a key film in the year” by the National Radio and Television Administration and named “a key film in the year in the 7th Five-One Program” in Jiangsu Province.

6. The film Pioneer in which he served as a screenwriter was selected by the National Radio and Television Administration as one of the 15th key tribute films for celebrating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in 2011 and won the Outstanding Single Literary and Artistic Creation Achievement Award in Shanghai in 2012.
