Brief Introduction

Dr. Liu is currently a Professor of College of Design and Innovation at Tongji University, Shanghai, China. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Himan Factors from Technical University Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 2006. He is now  engaging himself in the area of human factors for design of products and complex systems such as hospitals, transport systems, etc., in consideration of especially the interaction and collaboration of human beings and the increasingly smarter artificial systems. His major interests include risk management, safety design, information design and optimization, user experience study, inclusive design, etc. Dr. Liu owns a number of patents and has published nearly 100 academic papers including more than 30 SCI/EI/ESI cited papers in domestic and foreign journals, conferences, and books. Dr. Liu  is a committee member of Chinese Ergonomics Society and is the director of the Ergonomics Design Research Lab (ErgoDe).
