WU Jie

Brief Introduction

    Professor WU Jie is director of Media and Communication Design program, director of Integrated Media Design Lab at College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University. Her research focuses are digital media design history and theory, media and communication design, technology and culture. She graduated and visited Tongji University, Bremen University, Berlin University of Arts, Humboldt University and Parsons School of Design. Her art works has participated the exhibition  "Get It Louder ", "Design Shanghai ". and she has curated academic events "City: in the Name of Animation", "M-Scape: Sino-German Moving Image Exhibition and Forum", "Tongji-Bauhaus Media and communication design Forum", cooperated with MoCA, Peanuts, BMW, Nissan, M50, Shanghai Municipal Government Development Research Center and other institutions and enterprises. She is also the author of books "The Origin of Digital Humans: 1964-2001" and "The New Tense of Media & Communication ".
