Brief Introduction:

   Yang Wang(Chasing) was born in Shanghai, 1987. He holds a Ph.D. from the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University. He has rooted in the field of the interior environmental design for many years.Academically speaking, he starts to research on people’s behavior in the environment during his bachelor, he was digging deeply into it based on Product Service System design thinking learned from Politecnico di Milano during his master degree. In the period of the Ph.D, he spent 7 years in deep research in contemporary(1843-2013) interior design of Shanghai, meanwhile, sponsored by CSC(China Scholarship Council) of being a visiting scholar at Parsons New School of Design to make a further comparative research to which of New York in the same time in light of collecting abundant materials from the history of Interior. In this way, he has built up a synopsis of theory in Interior environmental design and applied it to more design practice.

    From the perspective of design practice, he had worked in world-renowned design firms such as  Yabu Pushelberg, AECOM and ECADI. After that, He established the NONG STUDIO office in Shanghai in 2016 and set up branches in Milan and New York afterwards. His works have caught special attention domestically and world-widely, often awarded by the global top design awards like German Design Awards, Blueprint, FRAME, WAF, Dezeen, SBID, A&D, Grand Prix Design,APIDA and so forth. Also reported by many prominent design medias such as ELLEDECOR Italy, Hong Kong Perspective, Russia AD, FRAME, Kinflok, Tatler, U.S Interior Design and many others.
