Richard Kelly obtained his MSc in Design Ergonomics from University College London. He is the Managing Director of IDEO Asia Pacific. Based in Shanghai, his role is to work with clients to identify, create and realize new opportunities, and build innovation capabilities. Clients include HuaWei, TCL, Coca Cola, VF Corporation, Singapore Ministry of Manpower, and SUNTECH. He formerly served at IDEO London, in charge of developing strategic cooperative relationship with European clients such as Nestlé Global and T-Mobile. Richard speaks and comments regularly on innovation and design issues and has been invited to speak at the China-U.S Innovation Dialogue held under the framework of China-U.S. Joint Commission of Science and Technology Cooperation. In addition, he has spoken at the World Economic Forum in China, Skoll World Forum in the UK, Global Social Entrepreneurs Forum, China Entrepreneur Club Annual Summit, Hong Kong Business of Design Week, Clean Tech Forum and TEDx Taipei. He appears regularly in the media including Business Watch magazine, Business Management Review, 21st Century Business Review, etc.
