2005  founded a design studio “xlplusdesign”.

2006-present  working at Tongji University

2010  xlplusdesign merged with Designaffairs

2010- present  working at Designaffairs as China Operations Director

The Chinese team led by Liu Lidan has won more than 45 international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, IF Design Award, and Chicago Good Design Award. Liu Lidan was invited to serve as judge of the German IF Conceptual Design Competition and the German IF (Hannover) Design Competition.
