Between October 12th and 15th, a total of 8 teams from Tongji University were shortlisted for the national final of the 7th China International College Students’ "Internet +" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Among which the cross-academic project named "Aero-Space Low Carbon Off-grid Building Innovator" with undergraduates from D&I as the core won the Shanghai Gold Award and the National Final Gold Award.
The "Aero-Space" project focused on the demand for medical resources during the pandemic. It innovatively proposes a membrane-structure that functions off-grid by using new energy resources. The structure provides convenient, efficient, and low-carbon solutions for emergency scenarios. The project was guided by recognized experts such as Professor Wu Zhiqiang and Associate Professor Su Yunsheng, The "Aero-Space" project has gained wider interest and has been reporting on from over ten domestic media.
