In the afternoon of 2 December, Tongji University welcomed a delegation from UK Research and Innovation(UKRI), led by Professor Andrew Thompson. The Executive Chair of the Arts and Humanities Research Council. Professor WU Jiang, the Executive Vice President of Tongji University together with Dean of College of Design and Innovation(D&I) LOU Yongqi, and Deputy Director of International Office of Tongji University LIANG Yijun. met with the delegation. They meet at Aston Martin Lagonda Creative Lab, NICE 2035, which is a cooperation between Aston Martin and Tongji University College of Design and Innovation. During the meeting, Professor WU Jiang introduced the history of Tongji University, especially its connection and cooperation with UK. And Dean Lou introduced the project of NICE 2035-Neighborhood of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship towards 2035, which was initiated by D&I in 2018. After the meeting, the delegation visited the labs of NICE 2035. At the same time, a delegation from Universities UK, who are management team from UK major universities,.also visited D&I, The delegation visited D&I and NICE 2035, and had a sharing session with D&I faculty. Professor WU Jiang gave a presentation to the delegation about the international cooperation of Tongji University, and Dean Lou introduced D&I. The sharing and discussion paved the way for further cooperation between UK universities and Tongji University.
