On July 3, 5 Tongji student teams emerged successfully from a 48-hour hackathon with nearly 150 students in 41 teams from Jiao Tong -, Donghua-, Zhongnan- and Tongji University and 16 other institutions and organizations from Shanghai. 

The Tongji Maker teams successfully took 5 out of 6 places advancing to the final 2017 China-U.S. Young Maker competition to be held in Beijing, where they will represent Shanghai to compete with makers from all over China and the U.S in August.
