•活动介绍：

“新兴实践”设计研究与教育会议一直致力于就不断影响设计和设计教育的实践、价值和途径展开探讨。今年召开的第三届“新兴实践”大会的主题是“发展中”，Don Norman, Patrick Whitney等大家将和来自不同领域的研究者、从业人员、教师和学生将一起分享想法和思路，以丰富关于“发展中”的优秀实践的理解，围绕的子主题分别是：社群、经济、教育、前沿探索、研究与开放。本次会议的目标在于促成人们反思对于“发展中”一词的主流认识和潜在理解，从而进一步探索“发展中”这一状态的优势、挑战和机遇。

The 'Emerging Practices' Design Research and Education Conference is devoted to exploring the new practices,values, and approaches arising from, or influential to, design and design education. The main theme of the 3rd Emerging Practices conference is 'developing'. We now invite researchers, practitioners, teachers and students from different domains, together with the keynote speakers such as Don Norman, Patrick Whitney, Ken Friedman and so on, to contribute thoughts that enrich the understanding of best practices of 'developing' related to communities,economies, education, explorations, and research and openness. This conference aims to facilitate discourses that reflect on the prevailing acceptance and implicit interpretation of the notion of developing. Further, it will explore the strengths, challenges, and opportunities that the status of being developing offers, in various scenarios of emerging practices driven by design.

Each speaker has 5 mins to present his/her proposal aided by a poster provided by us including text and images you sent. Digital presentations are not required. Each session includes 8 to 12 participants. Toolkits to ease the discussion will be provided.

From the previous discussion each session could provide some guidelines for future steps about the topic of the parallel session. It could be useful for each participants to develop their proposal and to finalize the paper. The agenda will be set-up in an exhibition. Toolkit will be provided.

•主讲人嘉宾介绍：

oKen FRIEDMAN

Ken Friedman 是同济大学设计创意学院设计创新研究首席教授，同时也是澳大利亚斯威本科技大学的杰出教授，曾任该校的设计学院院长。他之前担任过挪威管理学院教授，主讲领导力和策略设计，并在丹麦设计学院任教。他的研究重点是知识经济环境下的组织、文化和设计。早年他曾参与过激浪派运动（Fluxus），从事跨媒体和概念艺术工作。2012年纽约现代艺术博物馆（the Museum of Modern Art in New York）和达特茅斯学院艺术博物馆（the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College）展出了他二十世纪六十年代的作品。

oDon NORMAN

Don Norman 教授是美国认知心理学家、计算机工程师、工业设计家，他关注于认知科学、人类社会学和行为学的研究。他的背景是工程学和社会科学，在学术界和工业界都具有极高的荣誉。2002年，他获得了由人机交互专家协会（SIGCHI）授予的终身成就奖。他是尼尔森诺曼集团（http://www.jnd.org）咨询公司的创办人之一。诺曼曾在很多公司和教育机构担任董事和理事，例如芝加哥设计学院、西北大学和苹果公司。他的代表著作包括《设计心理学》、《情感设计》、《未来产品设计》等。

oKun-Pyo LEE

Kun-Pyo Lee 是韩国KAIST工业设计系教授，HCIDL（人本交互设计实验室）主任，还担任IASDR（国际设计研究学会联合会）主席一职。他曾作为公司设计中心负责人、执行副总裁，负责LG电子所有产品线的设计规划。他的研究兴趣包括：设计方法论、设计规划、用户为中心的设计、用户体验设计，以及最近的众包设计。他的研究课题涉及众多全球领先的公司和组织，例如，LG电子、三星电子、Johnson & Johnson、大众，以及政府机构等。他是多个韩国以及海外组织和学术期刊的顾问委员，也为各种专业设计组织工作，其中包括：Design Research Society （资深会员以及执委会成员）、韩国设计科学协会（主席）、韩国情感与感性学会（主席）、以及韩国人机工程学会（副主席）。

oPatrick WHITNEY

Patrick WHITNEY 教授是美国伊利诺理工大学设计学院（Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology）院长，同时他还是Steelcase/RobertC设计部门的特聘教。作为白宫设计委员会的一员，曾任美国设计中心主席，并于1995年获“总统设计奖”，他对设计的理解是：设计师人类创造产品的一门艺术。他一直致力于对设计本身加以改良和完善，并且始终坚持“功效重于样式、实质大于形式”和“以人为本”的设计理念。他提倡“人本设计”（human-centered design），其精髓就在于发掘人类自身运用科技的方法，而非科技本身发挥效用的方法。

oElizabeth(Dori) TUNSTALL

Elizabeth(Dori) TUNSTALL是澳大利亚思威本科技大学副教授，学习与教学副主任，文化创新研究组负责人，教育执行主任。她负责设计学院的学术质量和课程创新，也是设计人类学硕士课程负责人，这个领域致力于理解设计的过程以及造物如何能够帮助定义作为人的意义。她关注民众参与的设计，创造令人们政治知情、赋权的条件。她是AIGA“为民主而设计”的主导者，目前还是美国国家设计政策峰会及行动的组织者。作为顾问，她经常参与澳大利亚设计联盟关于设计政策的咨询活动。

2014年同济设计周即将在10月10日开幕，本次设计周由同济大学设计创意学院主办，与2014上海设计之都活动周、上海工业设计协会、中国工业设计研究院（上海）有限公司等联合主办。将在同济大学设计创意学院等多处会场举办20余场展览、论坛等其他活动。本次设计周活动将主题定位“新空间”，涵盖工业设计，平面设计、交互设计、创新教育、仿生学研究、可持续发展等多重领域，展现了现代设计在诸多领域、不同层次的发展成就。
