The college has established a large open international network. It’s an active member of CUMULUS (International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media) and ICSID.
The college has signed cooperation agreements with more than 30 internationally renowned institutions. Among them, the college has established double Master Program with the Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, Bauhaus University Weimar, Aalto University, Chalmers University of Technology and Koln International School of Design. At the same time, it collaborates with Sino-German, Sino-French, Sino-Italian, Sino-Finnish and UN platform colleges of Tongji University. The international cooperation covers culture, education (joint training, joint design), research (cooperative research), social services, exhibitions and other aspects. The college has hosted the International Student Exhibition of Shanghai Biennale in 2006 and 2008, Cumulus Conference 2010 and 20th anniversary exhibition of CUMULUS.
